Tokyo Kyumeikan Dojo was founded in December 1957 by the first master of dojo, Kahei Kubo, and has been passed to the present master of dojo, Akira Kubo. We have spread kendo widely overseas and have sent out many talented people to the world under the motto of “Kendo is the path of human formation through the practice of the principle of the sword”. Many sister dojos have been founded overseas, and Tokyo Kyumeikan Dojo has become centripetal for overseas Kendo and Iaido swordsmen.
